Shreveport is making up for the lack of 5Ks last weekend with 3 this weekend. All 3 of these races are for a great cause, so everyone should sign up and participate.
Walk a Mile in Our Shoes Autism 5K – April 28th
The Autism 5K will take place at Shreveport Community Church on Saturday April 28th. The race will benefit the Educational Center for Autism and Raising Community Awareness. Race is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the race and the cost gets you into a post race carnival. 1/2 mile fun run begins at 9 with the race kicking off at 9:15. Shreveport Community Church is on Buncombe Road.

Dean Williams 5K – April 28th
The Dean Williams 5K will take place at the Riverfront with the course start at the intersection of Clyde Fant and Lake Street. The 5K is in honor of Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams, two fallen officers who where advocates of the Special Olympics. This race is run in their memory and the memory of all law enforcement lost in the line of duty. Race is $15 or $20 on race day with the first 300 sign ups getting a t-shirt. 1/2 mile fun run starts at 8, 5K starts at 8:30 and law enforcement relay starts at 8:30 with 2 man teams each running 1.5

Faith Run 5K – April 29th
The Faith Run 5K will take place at Veterans Park on April 29th. This race is a fundraising event for Gallegos family who just lost a family member to cancer. All funds will be going to help pay medical bills. Race is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. For $45 you get race entry, t-shirt, and wristband. 5K starts at 8.
